BACK to comments Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at 09:37 On Saturday 21st April at about 7.00 am I was very aware of the smell of burning flesh coming from the East. The Epynt pyre lies about 6 miles East of Rhandirmwyn. Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at 19:11 Isn't it ironic that the Labour Government will change its whole F + M policy over one picture of a calf that would have been slaughtered later anyway but ignore the health and dangers to the people in trecastle. Typical of party which is living in its own fantasy land. Thursday, May 3, 2001 at 00:57 Keep up the good work - we must stop this senseless slaughter. Friday, May 4, 2001 at 14:04 I totally agree with the protests that have been going on in Trecastle. I live just outside Trecastle on a farm, and most of the day I could hear cars and veichles alike tooting their horns to show their support. I totally disagree with burying of carcasses on Epynt when they were burying. And I disagree with them burning carcasses up there as I could see the smoke spreading throught the valley, so if the smoke is spreading out what else is spreading along with the smoke. We don't know, do we? Sunday, May 6, 2001 at 18:28 Letter from Alan Watson to Department of Environment on behalf of Epynt Action Group regarding objection to the Use of Air Curtain Incinerators. Having read this letter the facts would seem to be correctly stated but cases like this take a inordinately long time to prosecute and Eppynt will be finished long before it is possible to get this action to court. Sunday, May 6, 2001 at 20:28 Thanks for your great efforts at the Epynnt, you have highlighted much of what has been wrong about this F/M affair human health concerns come far behind financial concerns, vaccination would have protected public health and this total hell which we have lived through in the Mid-Wales area. Sincere thanks to all your protestors. |
